SIMPLE PRESENT

1.- Structure

c) Interrogative sentences

The interrogative form of the auxiliary verbs is formed by changing the order and putting the auxiliary verb before the subject. Look at the examples.

They are in London = Are they in London?, She has got dog = Has she got a dog?

With the rest of the verbs, the interrogative form of the simple present is formed following this structure

DO / DOES + SUBJECT + BASE FORM?

- Use do if the subject is: I, We, You, They or a plural noun. Example: Do you speak English?

- Use doesn't if the subject is: He, She, It or a singular noun. Example: Does Ann like chocolates?

REMEMBER!

When you use does, the base form is NOT in the third person. That means, you cannot say: Does he plays tennis?, but Does he play tennis?
